Run or walk off your turkey the Saturday after Thanksgiving with this 5K or 10K. After the event, participants over 21 can enjoy FREE wine tasting at Cougar Vineyard & Winery and discounted tastings at neighboring wineries. Raise funds to support energy projects in East Africa for great incentive prizes.
The Temecula Turkey Trot 5K and 10K both start and finish at Cougar Vineyard & Winery. Share your energy by raising funds for the Sun Strides Foundation. All runners will receive a free fundraising page with online registration.

Wine tasting (for runners 21 and up) is included with your race entry.

If it is determined that weather conditions are unsafe for the event to take place, a reschedule date will be set and we are sorry but NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.

DIRECTIONS:
From the 15 North -
Exit Temecula/Warner Springs CA-79
Turn Right on CA-79
Continue on CA-79 for approximately 4 miles
Turn Left on Anza Rd
Turn Right on De Portola Rd for 4.9 miles
Cougar Winery will be on the left.
PARKING:
Parking will be available at Frangiapani Winery immediately before Cougar, Masia de Yabar Winery and also on the property right after the Cougar Driveway.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
5K - The 5K is an out and back run/walk starting and finishing at Cougar Winery. The course starts on De Portola Rd and turns right onto Monte De Oro (a dirt road) The 5K turnaround is at the first water station. See course map.
10K - The 10k is also an out and back run/walk starting and finishing at Cougar Winery. The Course starts on De Portola Rd and turns right onto Monte De Oro (a dirt road) The 10k continues past the first water station/5k turnaround and makes a left shortly after the first water station onto Camino Del Vino. There are some rolling hills and the turn around is at the 2nd water station. See course map.
VOLUNTEERS:
We need volunteers at the Temecula Turkey Trot 5k and 10k to be course marshals, work water stations, hand out goody bags, provide spirit/cheer on the course, and help with registration and timing.
We also need volunteers in the following areas, event photography, graphic design, and musical performers.
All volunteers will receive FREE entry into any future Sun Strides event, a letter vouching for their service hours, an event shirt, an event goody bag & breakfast.
